Outward Ministry at Trinity Church includes activities that reach out to our community and serve those in need. Our mission activities are divided into three categories – local mission, international mission and student outreach.
Local Ministry Partners:
Hope 7 Food Pantry
The food pantry is located in the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church at 520 Pawling Ave in Troy, and serves families a monthly 3 day/3 meals per day package for everyone in the family of basic staples, meat, fresh produce, breads and bakery items, and milk. Families can return weekly for bread & produce. Also available are non-food items such as diapers, toiletries, personal hygiene items, household cleaning supplies, and pet food.
Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items are ALWAYS welcome and needed. Donations can be placed in the designated collection boxes in the church or can be taken directly to the food pantry any weekday between 9:30-11:45am, Thursday evenings 5-7pm, or the last Saturday of each month 9:30-11:45am.
The lifeline of the food pantry is the hard work and dedication of the volunteers who work the pantry daily, stock shelves, pack bags, welcome clients, unload trucks, run to the Regional Food Bank to pick up fresh produce or to Hannaford to receive their generous donations. They do it all with a smile and make everyone who comes through the doors leave feeling they were treated with respect.

International Crossroads is a Christian organization serving international students in the Capital District since 1986. Their goal is to help international students adjust to life here and to promote friendship and understanding between students and members of the community. To that end, IC offers group outings, opportunities for cultural exchange, friendships with Americans and Christian activities. While IC is a Christian organization, students need not be Christians to participate. Those from any nationality and all religious backgrounds are welcome.
